About Us at Simple Fibers

I am a wool lover to my core. I have spent countless hours sitting at the computer, searching for wool, roving, natural dyeing recipes, yarns, and much more to feed my addiction to fiber art. I would find the perfect web site, a long-searched-for product, or an artist whose work I really admired, only to forget to bookmark the web site, or I would remember the artist's name but not their web site address.

I get many emails from others asking for my help in locating a product or another fiber artist's patterns. I am an advertising member at some of the hand-made online marketplaces, but I noticed that there are few fiber art web sites listed there.

All of this brought me to my voilá moment - why not create an online resource center for all things related to some of the most popular fiber arts? A place where others can explore, learn, and find the materials, artists, and information that they need. That is precisely what I set out to accomplish here at Simple Fibers. In time and with growth of this site, I hope it will become the best place on the web to locate just what fiber lovers, fiber art enthusiasts, artists and vendors need.
